Development of new regenerative approaches for CHD patients

The aim of this project is to engineer a contractile patch of cardiac muscle made from patient stem cells, to help support the pumping function of the single right ventricle in children with single ventricle disorders and, in addition, to support the function of the right ventricle in other forms of childhood heart disease characterized by right-sided heart failure.
